Amber island, of an area of 140 hectares is covered mainly by endemic plants. It is situated in the lagoon off the coast north-east of Mauritius. Most of its shores are bordered by rock or mangrove forests which is a breeding ground for small fishes and crustaceans. On the island there is a variety of endemic wildlife and plants such as palm tree “Latania loddigessii” and around six varieties of butterfly. There is also a ruin of old stone buildings dating from the colonial French era, an inland sea water pool and a salty wetland areas

Meal include barbecued fish, chicken and chicken sausage accompany by rice, pasta, bread cooked and raw salads. Season fruits for dessert.
Local beers, wine, rum, punch, water and other non-alcoholic fizzy drinks available at will throughout the day.
We provide vegetarian meal on demand. Client with special needs must inform us about it with sufficient time prior to cruise date so that we can bring necessary modification.
Participants are expected to be in Grand Gaube at latest 9h30 for payment procedures and boarding.
Boarding starts at 10h00 at Grand Gaube. Once onboard, after a briefing by the captain about the cruise, the catamaran will sail towards Amber island. At Amber island guests will have free time to discover the natural beauty of the Mangroves eco system. Then the catamaram will head to some key locations to enjoy the beach, snorkeling and sunbathing. A delicious barbecued lunch will be served on the island. After lunch, particpants will enjoy free time on the island to enjoy the beach and lagoon.
Free time on the island will last till 15:00 after which participants will re-embark to sail back to Grand Gaube.
